What an insane week for NFTs. NFTs are evolving and taking more and more of the market/buzz on twitter. Everything seems to be doubling in value, pick good projects that you like the art/utility because no one knows what happens next! At the bottom I give you a sneak peak of what we are going to write about next!

News of the week: Visa buys a cryptopunk
Unless you live under an NFT rock (going for a lot nowadays - over $1 million) you heard about the Visa news. Their great marketing tactic got me too and I had to mention. Wow, I don’t know how many companies will be buying punks as “stores of value” but NFTs will probably become more and more intertwined with business. Exciting times, maybe we are early to something big? I think so
The Next Doge? NFD - a Fractionalized Doge NFT
So Path, who’s pretty famous on Crypto twitter fractionalized a doge NFT on fractional.art, the platform I spoke about previously. It’s an NFT, it’s a meme so obviously this happened below.
NFD ended up going to about $100 million in implied valuation, and has now taken some ups and downs currently sitting at around $50 million. Doge & Shiba are cool, but they are just tokens. I’ll be interested to see how people can mix memes and NFTs, I’d rather own a doge NFT vs a doge coin. Would’ve been interesting if path had airdropped a doge NFT to all of the holders. DYOR if you want to invest in this, it’s a novel idea but may need to have some more innovation before it’s less volatile!
NFTs out in the real world: NFTs are the new Rolexes?
Moonlambo, now an Etherrock seller, posted this video of an NFT on a wrist. One of the main thing the outside world says about NFTs is that they are only on a computer screen, as technology adapts like this below, do they “increase” in value? I don’t know if I’d want to be walking around with that 1000 ETH Fidenza on my wrist, but maybe some people will.
Old Project: 2016 NFT Project - Pixel Map
This was an old 2016 project where you could buy tiles and put something on them, according to the article below, pixel #0 had the guy choose to put his facebook profile. To buy one of these, if there are any left (project was found about two days ago) you are going to have to buy from the contract but the article below explains the process super straightforwardly.

Drop of the week: Ice Bags Charity NFTs
So as many of you probably know, Ice Bagz is a common person to see on Crypto Twitter. He always seems to be trying to help out people in need during a cycle & the NFT szn is no exception. He created 25 honorary fast food punks and the auction money will go to the Ronald McDonald foundation. Pretty cool stuff & some “great”. (i mean funny) artwork. There are some other charity donations that NFTs are donating to & I’ll try to highlight those also. Crypto community has been great at supporting causes.

As promised, our next article will be on Paperclip DAO & Party DAO as they ramp up, but I’m thinking next week I will give an Art Blocks explanation so everyone can understand/get in on the hype.

I'm bullish on NFT's. I believe play-to-earn is the next major gaming model, as well as an open market for in-game digital items; most in-game assets are illiquid, which is insane to me. All of this will change long-term through blockchain and NFT's. It's self-evident.
